El Circo

Surfing under the highest bridge in Spain

We continue heading for San Felipe, still on the country road C-810, which runs parallel to the coast, only a few metres off the surge. It leads directly into the town San Felipe, which is located near a huge bridge that spans a canyon. There you can find the “Playa de los Vagabundos” and the two “El Circo” spots.

The spot El Circo is located only a few hundred metres east of „Los Vagabundos“ and once more, it is accessed via slippery rocks and cliffs, thus requiring a lot of concentration. Along the rocky beach, which is 500 metres long, the inornate, but somehow still charming and pristine houses of the fishermen of San Felipe are strung together.

From the bridge above San Felipe, which stretches over the Barranco de Moya and which is said to be the highest bridge in Spain, you have a great view over almost all the surf spots in the San Felipe zone.
